Route from Calais to Termas Da Azenha
From Calais follow the route to Bordeaux, from Bordeaux drive to the Spanish border at Hendaye/Irun.
Cross the Spanish border at Hendaye/ Irun.
Follow the motorway to San Sebastian, Bilbao, Burgos, Valladolid and Salamanca to the border with Portugal at Vilar Formosa. This motorway is very well maintained and easy to follow.
From this point on it is only another 170 or so miles to our place. When you cross the border follow the signs to Viseu and about 6 miles before you get to the actual city you will have to follow the signs for Coimbra on the IP3. This exit is easy to miss, so pay attention.
If you do happen to end up in the city of Viseu, no problem, just keep looking for signs to Coimbra and follow them!

FROM COIMBRA (about 40 km from Termas da Azenha)
Follow the IP3 until Coimbra, when you get here, keep driving straight on into town. Make sure to keep the river Mondego, which crosses the city, on your right hand side. After about 0.7 mile you will see a bridge, this is the main 4-lane bridge into town. Cross this bridge and keep to your left. At the end of the bridge turn left towards Condeixa / Lisboa.

FROM CONDEIXA (about 25 km from Termas da Azenha)
After about 8 miles you will approach the town of Condeixa. Follow the road towards Lisboa on the N1 until you see a large yellow building on your left. At this point you will be passing a pedestrian-bridge as  well.   There are signs to Tomar / Penela / Soure.  At this point turn off right towards Soure.

FROM SOURE (about 12 km from Termas da Azenha)
More or less 6 kilometres further on, just before the town of Soure you will see a large roundabout, go straight on. You will pass a school on your righthand: three orangecoloured buildings with a blue fence around.
The next roundabout: straight on, direction Vinha da Rainha.Follow the road, go under a viaduct, go with the road in a wide curve to the right, cross a viaduct over the railroad, and stop at the T-crossing. Go left. Go to another T-crossing, very near. Stop here!
Please, look at your kilometres now. You turn right, direction Vinha da Rainha / Louriçal.
From this point, you have to drive 4 kilometres to the next crossroad. You can recognise this point from the "Pastelaria Almeidoce"  with red marquises. There is a sign to the right: Vinha da Rainha.

FROM VINHA DA RAINHA (about 4 km from Termas da Azenha)
Follow the road, with all winds and curves, about 2 kilometres. After a long, more or less straight part, you will go downhill with first a wide curve to the right, then to the left, and back again to the right. (If you are driving here during the daytime, you will have a beautiful view over the rice-valley!) The next wind will go left, and you keep on following the road. The last part has big trees on both sides. You´ll get to a T-crossing, with a café "O Choupal"  right in front of you.

FROM PEDROGÃO DO PRANTO (about 2 km from Termas da Azenha)
Go right, pass the village of Pedrogão do Pranto. Soon, the road will take a wide curve to the left, at that point you can see a very small white chapel.  Just keep on following the road, untill you arrive at the Termas da Azenha. Here you can park next to the reception, that is a yellow and blue building on the right side of the road.
